What is Kogs-4-KidsTM?

Kogs-4-Kids is a workbook set that supports the Real Science-4-Kids curriculum. This workbook set helps students make cognitive connections between the scientific discipline they are studying (chemistry, biology, physics, and earth and space) and other disciplines such as critical thinking, language, technology, the arts, philosophy, and history. Kogs-4-Kids plus Real Science-4-Kids work together to create not only a foundation for scientific knowledge but also a framework for scientific literacy. Six workbooks will accompany the Real Science-4-Kids curriculum. The first workbook set for Chemistry Level I has been completed was released in May 2008. This workbook set includes the Critical Thinking Kog, the Language Kog,  History Kog, the Technology Kog, the The Arts Kog, and the Philosophy Kog. 











E-Z KOGS Teaching Plan

Implementing the Kogs and RS4K/Kogs curricula in three easy steps. We recommend covering each chapter over a two-week period as follows:

1. Students read and discuss the Student Text. (1 hour)
2. Students perform and discuss the laboratory experiment. (1 hour)
3. Students read and follow the instructions for each of the Kogs workbooks. (1 hour per Kog)
